Why taking down a bully could be your biggest regret

This is Ernesto Quiñonez, a stand up comedian. He may seem like a modest guy, but he has done something that truly earns my respect.

It’s very easy for us to see and condemn the bigotry of others, but it’s very rare for people to spot it in themselves. By nature, human beings hate to see and acknowledge their own flaws– it means admitting a lot of very ugly things and recognizing you aren’t always a stellar person. That’s what makes Ernesto amazing, he not only openly acknowledges his shortcomings, but he actively talks about it on stage on in front of hundreds of people.  If you ever want an incredible challenge, take some time and seek out your flaws. It will emotionally hurt like hell, but it definitely makes you a better person.
